I've been reading the same book for about 4 months now... it never seems like it's going to end. They're constantly adding new characters, so many that even the author seems confused (using the wrong names in several conversations). The story line is interesting, but it costs way too much to continue to read ONE book. Each chapter costs a different amount of points, but are literally only about 3 to 4 paragraphs. (I'm on chapter 1300 and it shows that I've only completed 52% of the book.)
I've found one story I've gotten hooked on, but the problem with this app is that it doesn't give you too terribly many options to earn enough points to read very far into the stories. Each "chapter" isn't an actual chapter, but a couple to a few paragraphs and then, "Earn More Points". And I'm sorry, but I'm not going to pay $20 just to only be able to read half of a "book". I'd rather go spend $10-$15 on an actual book that doesn't require adds & little gimmicks on earning points to read on.
Update The rewards page still gets stuck sometimes. But more frustrating than that is the way this app works. It takes almost 20 coins to read 1 chapter, but you less than 10 for checking in most days and the adds only give you 4 at a time. That's a lot to go through just to read one chapter of a "free" app. It's easy to loose interest in the story having to jump through all the hoops. FRUSTRATING!!!!! About 1 month later, I'm unistalling this app, it takes too much just to read 1 chapter a day.
Too expensive. There're normal books with the usual pay per chapter. Then there's short stories, which u need to pay a subscription for. The subscription is $20/week! And it's only for the short stories! u still need to pay for the normal book chapters! The book I was reading doesn't even have an info page so I have no idea if it's even going to be updated. Web novel/toon apps are getting to be so excessive with their pricing. Especially when some of these "authors" write like a middle schooler
My review is pretty much the same with the other 1 stars. Unfinished books. Super expensive to binge read. Insufficient bonus opportunities and too many ads for so little. I was lucky enough to get caught in a 'short' book of 400 chapters...and it could've ended there but did a reincarnation loop...so more awaits. Once it's done though...app will be deleted. One addition. The subscription is supposed to be ad free. But they aren't even reduced...so I am ripped off by false advertising. Bye.
